How would you be affected if you were ordered to change your religion by our government?

  1. If i was ordered to change my religion by the government, I would be shocked because there are many religions in the U.S. After the government announces that we have to change our religion I would OK but my family and I would try to keep our religion, but in secret.

  2. I would definetly be appalled if i was forced to change my religion. I beleive that government and religion should be seperated (like it is in the USA). I believe when Queen Mary forced everyone to change their religion it was unjust and not fair.

  5. I wouldn't be surprised if the government would order such a ridiculous command like that. What ever happened to: Freedom of religion, in the Bill Of Rights? I would, just like most people would, practice my religion in secret.

  6. My temperament would immediately change from that of a calm citizen to a hostile one. Maybe I would burn the establishment the government was currently occupying and crown myself Queen. I assume that is a moderate reaction. I would never force a religion upon my subjects.
    That's terrible. :O

  7. I would be mad and angry. Then I would hide my religion because if they did change it, it would probably have consiquences if you went against it. I would still practice my original religion, but pretend to be another.

I would practice my religion secretly. I wouldn't feel that I have the same amount of freedom as i do now.

  11. If the government forced me to change my religion it would be very unfair, and I would be angry. Religion is a personal decision from one individual to the next or at least I feel it should be so making religion apart of the government is not right.

  12. I would loose all ties with family who shared my religion as well as friends from my jewish camps and synagogue. it would force me not to be able to celebrate chanukkah, have a bat mitzvah, and many other Judaic activities. Changing religions would take away all of my beliefs and values i have grown up to honor.
